Cummins Filtration began in 1958 as a single filter production line developed by Cummins Engine Company to meet the high-performance requirements of Cummins diesel engines. Then known as the Seymour Filter Company, the facility was located in Seymour, near the Cummins headquarters in Columbus, Indiana. Production in those early years consisted of two employees sewing together cloth-bag lube-oil filters. In 1963, the company changed its name to Fleetguard, the brand that became the cornerstone for the diesel engine filtration industry. In 2006, the company name was again changed to Cummins Filtration, though our products still bear the Fleetguard name to stand strong in the global aftermarket. Nearly sixty years after the first bag filters were sewn, Cummins Filtration is the technology leader in filtration products for heavy-duty diesel engines with a global presence on six continents and over 4,000 employees.

Fuel Modules

Fuel Module is a sub-system integrating filtration cartridge which is used in liquid filtration.

Fuel Strainers

It is ideal for protecting custom fuel system from large debris and contaminants.

Fuel Water Saparators

Engine filtration can be overwhelmed by large amounts of water or other contaminants. Water in emulsified form or free water is always present in fuel. Water is an eroding agent while fuel is a lubricant. Water removal from fuel has become very important and proper water separation of emulsified as well as free water is crucial for economic performance of any diesel engine.

Fleetguard’s three stage fuel filter provides excellent water removal over the life of the filter. Use of patented StrataPoreTM media while combining/bonding together different micron rating filters can have this effect. For example, if the original equipment filter is of 10 microns, then placing a 25-micron StrataPore™ media filter upstream can as much as triple the service life.

Air Filtration

Clean air for effective engine performance.

Intake of contaminated (dust and dirt) air causes engine wear, reduced performance, and expensive maintenance. That is the reason why air filtration is a must amongst the most basic requirements for effective engine performance. Clean air is essential for maintaining the health and long life of internal combustion engines, and the purpose of an air filter is exactly that – to provide clean air by keeping damaging dust, dirt, and moisture at bay and promote increased engine life.

A complete Air Intake System consists of components starting from rain hood, hoses, clamps, pre-cleaner, air cleaner assembly and clean side piping. Regular use of air filtration systems extends engine service intervals, keeps equipment working continuously and maximizes profitability.
